Detailed Description

The air a strike moves: a longer, coloured noise layer under the body.

Distinct from the click in what it is for, not just in how long it lasts. The click is the contact; this is the sound of the head and the room responding to it, which is why it is coloured (the spectrum is tilted) and decays over tens or hundreds of milliseconds rather than a few.

RT contract: prepare() allocates nothing; every other method allocates nothing and takes no locks.

Member Function Documentation

◆ is_active()

bool pulp::signal::drum::NoiseLayer::is_active ( ) const
inline

A silent layer is never active – see the note on ClickLayer.

◆ level()

double pulp::signal::drum::NoiseLayer::level ( ) const
inline

◆ prepare()

void pulp::signal::drum::NoiseLayer::prepare ( double sample_rate)
inline

◆ process()

double pulp::signal::drum::NoiseLayer::process ( double coloured)
inline

Next sample.

coloured is a sample from the voice's generator with its colour filter applied.

◆ reset()

void pulp::signal::drum::NoiseLayer::reset ( )
inline

◆ set_decay_ms()

void pulp::signal::drum::NoiseLayer::set_decay_ms ( double ms)
inline

◆ set_level()

void pulp::signal::drum::NoiseLayer::set_level ( double level)
inline

◆ trigger()

void pulp::signal::drum::NoiseLayer::trigger ( )
inline
