Detailed Description

Frames whose GPU work has been submitted but has not finished executing.

Incremented when a frame's recording is inserted and decremented by that recording's finished callback, which Graphite always delivers, on success or failure. Callbacks run on the thread that pumps GPU completion (the next submit or completion check), so the count is as of the last such pump and may run up to one frame high. A count that stays at 2 or more while a frame waits in swapchain acquire says the GPU, not the CPU, is behind.
